As a mother of four, two whom are teenage girls, I often hear myself being called over controlling or to protective. In this day in age don’t we have to be? I know there are limits and we have to allow our kids to grow and become their own people, yet I also feel there are many times that situations take place with our children that could have been prevented if only we knew how to talk to them, how to be there for them without them feeling we are being too intrusive, and how to protect them from things they feel are "fun” but can actually be more dangerous than we know. I’m going to write this blog so that I learn, and so that my readers have the chance to learn with me. It’s going to offer everything from my own advice dealing with my four girls daily to articles about parenting and trends our teens are taking part in today.
I have taken many child and adolescent psychology classes and am available for advice when scheduled ahead often for a small fee, that can be paid through paypal. Contact me for more information.
